South African observers leave for Zimbabwe

    JOHANNESBURG
    A group of South African parliamentarians will leave this week to monitor the upcoming Zimbabwean elections, South African media reports said on Tuesday. A spokesman for ruling African National Congress, Themba Nobatan, was quoted as saying that the MPs would be led by ANC chief whip Tony Yengeni and would monitor the election campaign, the election itself and the post election period.
