President Mugabe on Thursday welcomed efforts by South African President Thabo Mbeki to raise funds for Zimbabwe's land reform programme.
Mugabe told the state-run news agency ZIANA that the initiative, which has so far raised some US $14 million from Saudi Arabia and the Nordic countries, would reinvigorate the country's resettlement programme by augmenting resources required to resettle thousands of landless people.
"We welcome their independent effort to secure funding for our land reform programme," he said.
