Land reform crisis a "powder keg" warns ambassador

    JOHANNESBURG

    Land reform in Zimbabwe is a "powder keg" which has to be resolved regardless of who is in power, Zimbabwe's ambassador to the United Nations said Thursday.

    "People do need land. As long as that issue is not resolved it's a powder keg," Boniface Chidyausiku told reporters. "Even if the MDC comes into power and they don't handle that issue of land, they'll see it'll blow up in their face," Chidyausiku said.
