False report leads to publisher's arrest

    NAIROBI
    The publisher of a weekly newspaper in Togo, `L'Exile', was arrested over the weekend and detained at the Lome Civilian Prison after being accused of publishing false news, RFI reported on Monday. His paper had reported that President Gnassingbe Eyadema's daughter, had died in a car accident, whereas she was still alive.
