Meanwhile, a slick of fuel and crude oil measuring around 50 cubic metres was reported off the shore of Pointe-Noire, Reuters said on Tuesday, citing a source at a regional environmental office. The source said the slick was thought to have come from a ship off Angola's Cabinda province. The news agency quoted witnesses as saying oil pollution had started to appear several weeks ago on beaches near Pointe-Noire.
