Two journalists and a newspaper executive appeared in court in Harare on Wednesday on charges of criminal defamation over news report on the country's draft constitution.
Former acting editor of 'The Standard' newspaper, Andy Moyse, managing director Clive Wilson and reporter Chengetai Zvauya were granted bail by magistrate Remigias Jemwa.
The charge relate to a report published in 'The Standard' on 30 January suggesting that the draft document had been printed before the commission completed nationwide consultations. Last Sunday the newspaper published a front page apology.
