Inflation, prices increase

The prices of goods and services rose 11.2 per cent in the capital Luanda in June, according to official media reports in Angola this week. Quoting figures released by the National Statistics Institute, the report said the prices for food and beverages had gone up 18 percent, clothing and footwear by 16 per cent, furniture and household appliances by 13 per cent, and health and medical care up 11 per cent compared with costs the month before. The institute forecast inflation of between 13 and 19 percent in July.
