Nigeria to invest in Angola

Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria's newly-elected president, said during his first presidential visit to Luanda that his country was planning to invest in Angola's mining and agriculture sectors, according to news reports on Wednesday. "This is a country that is very rich agriculturally. It is a country that is rich in solid minerals, not just oil," Obasanjo was quoted as saying after talks with Angolan president Jose Eduardo dos Santos. Obasanjo also said he expected increased recorded trade between the two countries and far greater involvement in the economic development of Angola.
