Peace moves pushed at OAU summit

Speaking in Algiers on Tuesday, Zambian President Frederick Chiluba said the OAU and the UN would soon establish a Joint Military Commission (JMC) to monitor the ceasefire agreement signed by leaders of the six countries involved in the DRC conflict, news agencies reported. The accord, approved in the Zambian capital Lusaka on Saturday, has not yet been signed by the three Congolese rebel groups.
