Antonov crashes

A Russian-built Antonov plane has crashed in northeastern Angola, the news agency Itar-Tass reported a local private radio station as saying on Thursday. The plane, belonging to private company Savan Air, was on its way from Luanda to the North Lunda province, but crashed near the town of Luzamba, the report said. The number of crew and passengers aboard has yet to be specified, as well as their fate. Meanwhile, Deputy Interior Minister Dario Ngongo and five government officials died when the helicoper they were travelling in crashed on 22 June. Bad weather or technical reasons were blamed for the accident.
