University students demonstrate over examinations

Zambian university students have staged a demonstration to protest against delayed examinations, AFP reported on Thursday. Examinations were delayed following a strike by lecturers to demand better conditions of service. According to AFP students were supposed to sit for their examinations last week, but these have been postponed until next week on condition that the strike is resolved. Riot police have been deployed at the campus to prevent any further demonstrations.
