Lebanese trader given diamond monopoly

    NAIROBI
    Meanwhile, a Lebanese trader has won control of the entire diamond trade in the Kisangani area, according to RCD-Goma officials controlling the town. “We prefer dealing with one trader who will pay an agreed-upon amount of money, rather than chasing different traders. It makes the administration of the whole exercise easy,” RCD first vice president Jean-Pierre Ondekane told IRIN.
