Fourteen Commonwealth countries discuss HIV/AIDS

Finance and health Ministers from 14 Commonwealth countries converged in Nairobi on Wednesday to discuss the impact of the HIV/AIDS scourge in the region, Kenyan radio reported. It is the first regional meeting of ministers of health and finance to address priority issues that relate to internal and external resource mobilisation for HIV/AIDS prevention and control in east, central and southern Africa. The meeting will also seek to develop a resource mobilisation strategy for HIV/AIDS and mobilise additional financial resources for regional and country level interventions in HIV prevention and control.
