Meanwhile, a government delegation paid a three-day visit to Cuito to assess the humanitarian situation in Bie province. The delegation included officials of the inter-departmental commission recently appointed by the Ministers Council.
News reports said the delegation and the provincial authorities reviewed the implementation of the emergency programme in the province, under which the first consignment of 200 mt of food and non-food aid was delivered by road.
