Kagame sends condolences to Bush

In a statement read on Radio Rwanda in Kigali on Wednesday, Rwandan President Paul Kagame sent his condolences to US President George W. Bush for the tragedy that occurred yesterday in New York and Washington. He said “I’ve learned with shock and horror of the tragic events that have been unfolding in the USA in the last couple of hours. This is an unparalleled attack on the American people in recent memory. We strongly condemn this cowardly crime and trust that the perpetrators will be found and brought to justice. On behalf of the government and people of Rwanda, let me express our deepest condolences and sympathy to you, Mr President, your government, the American people, and the families who lost their loved ones at this hour of profound national catastrophe. We pray that, as your nation has done before, you will summon the courage and strength to heal in the aftermath of this tragedy.”
