Clinton to attend signing ceremony

A flurry of activity is underway in Arusha, Tanzania, ahead of the 28 August peace signing date, the Internews service reported. It said preparations were in full swing for the ceremony. US President Bill Clinton has confirmed his attendance, along with regional leaders, according to Internews. It said a host of US security and communications officials had arrived in Arusha and were setting up equipment in the town’s biggest hotel, the Novotel. “Arusha is a small town by any standards and it cannot possibly accommodate all the presidential delegations and the regional and international press who will be descending on the town,” Internews pointed out.
