Dialogue facilitator in Kinshasa

The facilitator of the inter-Congolese dialogue, Ketumile Masire, arrived in Kinshasa on Wednesday at the invitation of head of state Joseph Kabila. "I am here at the invitation of the president, and it is also important to visit my team after the important and hard work they have achieved," Congolese radio quoted him as saying. "Oh yes, I am in constant communication with my team here and I am aware of all that has been achieved so far," he said. "On the issue of what is to be expected from the Congolese people, my role is to set the framework and they will have to decide on what will happen." According to Masire, he was in Kinshasa at the invitation of the president "and once I finish discussing matters with him, I will previously hld consultation with my Kinshasa team".
