Cuban doctors expected.

Ninety-two Cuban doctors are to arrive in Ghana before the end of the year, including some who are to help augment the medical staff of public health institutions, Ghana’s ‘Daily Graphic’ reported Wednesday. Health Minister Kwaku Danso-Boafo said the doctors were being brought in to help with a shortage of medical staff in the country. He said they had agreed to wages equal to those of their Ghanaian counterparts. For the long term, he said, the government is exploring ways to keep Ghanaian doctors in the country after their training. Danso-Boafo made the statements while touring the site of a new regional hospital in Brong Ahafo, central Ghana, now under construction.
