Government accused of mismanagement

Angolan parliamentary opposition parties on Tuesday accused the government of President Jose Eduardo dos Santos of mismanaging the country, arguing that peace is only possible through dialogue. State-run television station, TPA, said the MPs, after meeting with other non-parliamentary parties, recommended that Dos Santos urgently convene a broad national debate with the aim of finding and securing consensus on the role of state organs. The participants, said the report, raised concerns at the lack of legitimacy of existing state institutions and insisted on the holding of free and fair elections as soon as possible in an atmosphere of peace and harmony.
