Taylor reviewing diplomats' expulsion, radio says

President Charles Taylor said his government was thinking of reviewing its expulsion of the Guinean and Sierra Leonean ambassadors to Liberia so as to enhance confidence and restore dialogue between the three countries, the pro-government Radio Liberia International (RLI) reported on Sunday. Amid worsening relations between Liberia and its neighbours, Monrovia expelled the two ambassadors last month after declaring them personae non grata for acts it described as incompatible with their diplomatic status. At an extraordinary summit on 11 April in Abuja, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) asked Taylor to reconsider his decision.
