Genocide suspect arrested in Kosovo

A Rwandan working for the UN mission in Kosovo has been arrested in connection with the 1994 genocide, news organisations reported. Interpol officers apprehended the man on behalf of the Rwandan authorities. Emmanuel Rukangira, the chief advocate in Rwanda’s general prosecutor’s office, said the suspect was working at the UN Development Programme offices in Kigali in 1994 and “stands accused of complicity to commit genocide for having denounced colleagues”.
