Rebels abduct five in west

    NAIROBI
    Rebels of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) at the weekend abducted five people in Kijura parish, Hakibale sub-county, Kabarole district, western Uganda, the semi-official ‘New Vision’ newspaper reported. It quoted the chairman of the sub-country, Manyindo Nayera, as saying that the gang of 10 rebels also looted money and property from the parish. He said three of the abductees were, however, released by the rebels while the other two were still in rebel captivity.
