A Save the Children doctor assesses 18 month-old Nadhira*, who is suffering from severe acute malnutrition and respiratory problems, in northern Yemen. Nadhira* was born in good health. She was 13 months old when she got sick for the first time. After suffering from acute diarrhea, she started losing weight and her mother took her to a Save the Children-supported health facility, where she was examined and a doctor treated her for numerous infections. The health facility is almost two hours away from where Nadhira* lives. Nadhira's* health has continued to deteriorate. Two weeks ago she was referred to a hospital in Hajja city where she is currently being given a special milk (F57 - F100) in the hope she will gain weight. Save the Children team is following her situation until she is recovered. *Name has been changed to protect identity
