Recommit against AIDS stigma - Zuma

South African Deputy President Jacob Zuma has called for a public recommitment to tackle AIDS-related stigma and promote positive attitudes to affected individuals and families. Zuma was addressing a recent anniversary of the formation of the national Partnership Against AIDS, launched six years ago to de-stigmatise AIDS and encourage care for children orphaned by the pandemic. BuaNews, the government news agency, quoted the deputy president as saying: "While we do our bit as government, partnerships with communities and the civil sector remain of paramount importance."
