AIDS orphans to receive school supplies

    ABIDJAN
    International donors have given some CFA 47.1 million (about US $67,000) to help educate thousands of children orphaned by AIDS in Burkina Faso, news organisations reported on Monday. Under the 'Education for AIDS orphans' programme, some 3,500 children are to receive school supplies this academic year. The UN Development Programme has contributed CFA 15 million, while embassy donations came from France (CFA 12 million), The Netherlands (CFA 10 million) and Germany (CFA 10 million), news organisations said.
