China donates equipment to ministry of human rights

In a ceremony held in Kinshasa last week, Ambassador Cui Yongqian on behalf of the People’s Republic of China presided over a contribution of office equipment valued at US $60,000 to the ministry of human rights of the DRC, the DRC ministry of human rights confirmed to IRIN on Tuesday. The equipment included computers, printers, scanners, photocopiers, and mobile phones, among other items. According to an article on Monday in the DRC daily newspaper Le Potentiel, DRC Minister of Human Rights, Ntumba Luaba, said the equipment would allow his ministry to significantly increase its productivity.
