Angolan rebels attack strategic town

At least sixteen people were killed when UNITA rebel forces tried to storm the town of Calomboloca, about 80 km from the capital Luanda, BBC reported on Friday, quoting state radio. According to the report, a number of rebels were among those who died in the fighting. It said government forces had now re-established control of Calomboloca and had driven out the UNITA troops, capturing one of them and seizing a quantity of arms and ammunition.
