Weapons suspects expected to appear in court

Meanwhile, police said that they had found evidence to implicate several MDC members in allegations of weapons possession, the state-controlled newspaper ‘The Sunday Mail’ reported. The newspaper said that some of the suspects were expected to appear in court this week.. The MDC has dismissed the claims as “typical state media propaganda” and “absolute rubbish”. A High Court judge late on Friday declared Wednesday’s and Friday’s police searches illegal and ordered police to return seized materials. But according to news reports MDC party attorneys and officials who went to the police station to pick up the documents were forced to leave empty-handed.
