ZAMBIA-ANGOLA: Swazi king to mediate in UNITA gun-running dispute

Swaziland's King Mswati is to mediate in the dispute between Zambia and Angola over Luanda's persistent allegations that senior Zambian officials are involved in gun-running to the Angolan rebel movement UNITA, news reports said. "We have agreed to meet and resolve the issue with Angola," AFP reported Zambian President Frederick Chiluba as saying on Wednesday after talks with visiting Namibian President Sam Nujoma. He did not announce a date for the meeting. Chiluba said the tension between the two countries was "totally unacceptable". He added that Angola had provided the Zambian government with a list of accusations which Zambia responded to "detail by detail".
