Museveni condemns terrorism in all its forms

Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni said Uganda had often warned the world of the dangers of terrorist attacks, Radio Uganda reported on Wednesday. “We in Uganda know very well the grievous harm that can be caused to society by terrorists, having suffered for many years at the hands of [Joseph] Kony [leader of the rebel Lord’s Resistance Army] and the Allied Democratic Forces terrorists supported by Sudan,” Museveni said on Tuesday. Indiscriminate violence in the pursuit of any cause must be condemned and terrorism in all forms needed to be eradicated, he added. The Tanzanian government said it hoped those responsible for the attack would be “hunted down and brought to book”, Radio Tanzania reported, quoting a statement from the foreign ministry. “Such horrible and beastly acts against innocent people must be condemned in the strongest possible terms... The world must unite and fight them,” Tanzanian Prime Minister Frederick Sumaye stated.
