Zubeyde Alahmad, a native of Aleppo, and her three daughters. Since fleeing Syria, Alahmad has worked tirelessly to secure schooling for Esra, who is now 12 years old, and her two other daughters, Judi, 10, and Zehra, 7. Their experience in seeking education opportunities, marked by constant transfers between programs while managing financial and language barriers, has mirrored that of many refugees in Turkey, a country currently hosting 3.2 million Syrians – about one million of which are minors.
