Yehya Abdullah, four years old, from Osman valley, an hour and half away MSF cholera treatment center in Khamer, Amran, Yemen. He was hospitalized as soon as the symptoms of his cholera appeared.
His mother says: “My son was vomiting and had diarrhea since two days ago so we hospitalized him here where the doctors said that he has cholera. His body became dry and skinny. MSF doctors applied IV fluids for him. He stopped vomiting but he still has diarrhea. The doctors told me that this will end soon and he will get better. At this center, I got to know about cholera and how to protect myself. I have nine other children. Yahya is the only one who got this disease. - Date
