CRC chief admits that he did not consult the King

Chairman of the Constitutional Review Commission (CRC), Prince Mangaliso has admitted that King Mswati III was not consulted over the issue of banning the media from covering CRC activities, the ‘Times of Swaziland’ reported on Wednesday. The newspaper quoted the King as saying that he knew nothing about the banning of the press from covering submissions. The media ban on CRC submissions was announced while the King was on an official trip abroad. Mangaliso was quoted as saying: “What was the need to ask the King such a trivial issue? This is a minor question which could have easily been answered by the commission.”
