Constitutional commission set up

    NAIROBI
    The Rwandan parliament has elected 12 members of a new constitutional commission, according to a radio Rwanda broadcast on Monday. The members were named as Tito Rutaremara, a founding member of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), Jean Mutsinzi, Marie-Therese Mukabalisa, Judith Kanakuze, Emmanuel Twagira Mukiza, Alfred Mukezamfura, Emmanuel Nsabimana, Augustine Nzindukiyimana, Captain Jean-Baptiste Muhirwa, Umar Hamidou, Jacob Kabare and Domitile Mukantaganzwa. In an interview with IRIN earlier this year, Rwandan President Paul Kagame said the constitutional exercise would involve canvassing views nationwide.
