Transitional government's cabinet

Following is President Pierre Buyuoya's 26-member cabinet for the fist half of a three-year transitional government inaugurated on Thursday. Under a deal cut to end the eight-year civil war largely between the ruling Tutsi minority and the majority Hutu opposition, Buyoya, a Tutsi, will head the new power-sharing administration as its president for the next 18 months. During this period Domitien Ndayizeye will serve as vice-president. Both men will reverse roles for the second 18-month period. The cabinet named on Tuesday contains 20 new faces, PANA reported.
