Unarmed opposition agrees to meet Bemba

Unarmed opposition parties in the DRC have agreed to meet the rebels of the Congolese Liberation Front (CLF), Radio France Internationale (RFI) reported at the weekend. It said that CLF leader Jean-Pierre Bemba sent invitations to the parties to hold discussions on the inter-Congolese dialogue with them at Beni in northeastern DRC. The meeting is slated for 14 April. Opposition party leaders Etienne Tshisekedi and Joseph Olenghankoy “have already sent favourable replies to the invitation”, rebel-controlled radio said on Monday.
