IMF approves US $8 million to fight poverty

    ABIDJAN
    The International Monetary Fund has approved the sum of US $8 million for immediate disbursement to Mauritania under its Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility, the Fund said in a press statement on Friday. The disbursement follows a favourable second review of the country’s performance in reducing poverty and a decision by the World Bank to recommend further concessional assistance.
