WFP says displacements growing

WFP has reported that displacements of people are increasing in Afghanistan as a result of war and drought. In its latest monthly update for August, it said that in the west of the country people were were leaving Ghor for Herat and that there were some 1,800 families accomodated in IDP camps on the outskirts of Herat. It said sanitory conditions were poor, morbidity was rising and nutrition of the people living in the area was “of great concern”.
