Sudanese President sends envoy to Asmara and Addis

    NAIROBI
    Amid continuing diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the fighting, the Sudanese External Relations Minister, Mustafa Uthman Isma’il, left Khartoum on Thursday for Asmara and Addis Ababa as the special envoy of President Omar Beshir, Sudanese radio reported. The minister said before leaving that Sudan would do its best to stop the war, which could spread and affect neighbouring states and threaten the stability and security of the region.
