War veterans and government supporters appeared before a Harare magistrate on Monday and were charged with kidnapping and murder linked to last week’s violence, state-run media reports said on Tuesday.
The violence between ZANU-PF and MDC supporters occurred in a southwestern Harare. The violence left one person dead and a number of people injured.
Reports said that Magistrate Jefta Makhaza did not ask the accused to plead and were remanded in custody until 5 June.
