  • A funding tool called a Humanitarian Impact Bond is financing the construction of three rehabilitation and orthopaedic centres to be operated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Here the centre in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo is seen under construction in June 2019. Two others will be built in Nigeria and Mali in a first-of-its kind scheme running from 2017-2022.
