MSF has taken over an entire hospital in Amman, Jordan to make its reconstructive surgery centre.
Some 148 patients stay here, with another 50 in overflow accommodation elsewhere in the city, as well as hundreds of outpatients.
The eight floor facility is dedicated to orthopaedic patients, many of whom have severe, life-changing injuries from the Syrian civil war. But the institution first started in 2006, to treat Iraqis.
11,000 surgeries and some 4,700 patients have so far been treated here, and with new cases coming in from as far away as Yemen, there is no shortage of demand.
