Curtain Raiser Event: The Grand Bargain - how far have we come? 21 June, Geneva

One year after the World Humanitarian Summit, the big issue going into ECOSOC’s Humanitarian Affairs Segment is the Grand Bargain.

Come and join us for a unique curtain raiser event. Over coffee and croissants, you'll hear thought-provoking opinions and expert analysis on what has – and hasn't – been achieved, and reflections on the Grand Bargain meeting the day before.

Key findings from the flagship WHS report will be presented by András Derzsi-Horváth, Project Manager of the Berlin-based Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi). Commentary and discussion will be led by IRIN's newly assigned Geneva-based Senior Editor Ben Parker and Kate Halff, Executive Secretary of the Steering Committee for Humanitarian Response (SCHR).

Event hybridization and live streaming will be available here and provided by the Geneva Humanitarian Connector, an initiative of PHAP supported by the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs.

Date: Wednesday 21 June 2017, 08:30 - 9:45

Location: IRIN offices, Rue de Varembé 3, Geneva

This event is co-organized by IRIN and the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi).

RSVP to Maria Popovich, IRIN External Relations Assistant: [email protected].
