Senegal river management discussed

Strategies for the sustainable management of environmental and natural resources of the Senegal river basin was the main agenda of a meeting of experts from Mali, Senegal, Mauritania, and Guinea, that opened in Mali on Wednesday. State radio in Mali reported on Thursday that the three-day meeting convened by the Senegal River Development Organization, would particularly enable the experts to discuss management issues with Guinean authorities. The meeting would also enable the member-states to exchange ideas on the management of the Djembat and Manantali dams in Mali, including strategies for a dynamic and effective partnership, the radio reported.
