Italy to fund sewage system

Angolan state radio on Tuesday reported that the governments of Angola and Italy had signed a memorandum to provide a proper sewage system for the Cazenga and Cariango wards of the capital, Luanda. In terms of the memorandum, Italy will earmark about US $7 million for the project, to be loaned at 0.25 percent interest rate, payable over a 40-year period.

Angola’s Deputy Foreign Minister George Chikoty signed for President Jose Eduardo dos Santos’ government and Ambassador Paolo Sanela signed for Italy.
