Rwandan President Paul Kagame is due to arrive in Kenya on Thursday for a two-day official visit, government official confirmed. “This is a return visit after the visit of [Kenyan] President Daniel arap Moi to Rwanda last month,” Rwandan spokesman Emmanuel Ndahiro told IRIN. The Kenyan president also organised a meeting between Kagame and his DRC counterpart Laurent-Desire Kabila in the western Kenyan town of Eldoret. Relations between Kenya and Rwanda have been improving since the Kenyan government allowed the reopening of the Rwandan embassy which was closed in 1998 following the assassination of opposition politician Seth Sendashoga. Kenya in 1998 rounded up prominent genocide suspects and handed them over to International Criminal tribunal for Rwanda in Arusha, Tanzania.
