Kagame holds talks with Mozambican counterpart

Rwandan President Paul Kagame on Friday held talks with his Mozambican counterpart Joachim Chissano, Rwandan radio reported on Saturday. It said the two discussed bilateral relations, matters affecting the region and how the Lusaka peace process can be supported and pushed forward. He [Kagame] reportedly told journalists on his arrival that he explained to Chissano the interest Rwandans have in having the DRC problem resolved, "given the country's concerns to do with its security and Interahamwe fighting alongside DRC's President Laurent-Desire Kabila". Kagame also briefed Chissano on the internal situation in Rwanda, pointing out the problems the country has been facing, the progress so far made, and the challenges ahead.
